Great football

After seeing the start of college football season with some predictable games, like Florida State beating up on Sister Mary of the Poor, wasn't it cool to see some great finishes at the end of the holiday weekend.
East Carolina/Tulsa had one of the most exciting finishes to any game regardless of the point in the season and then we had down-to-the-wire games on Monday.
Being from Maryland, I thought the Terps showed great resolve to sink Navy with goal-line stops in the first half and then at the end of the game. This has to hearten the guys from College Park even though Navy ran all over them and those on Navy's upcoming schedule should take heed.
The Monday marquee game sure didn't look like it at the beginning of the night with Virginia Tech trailing 17-0 early. The Hokies showed their heart in coming back to take the lead, but Boise State showed why they have become media darlings representing "the little guy" with their game-winning drive.
FedEx Field got a good warmup from VT/BSU, but the real deal comes to town Sunday night when the Redskins host the hated Cowboys.
