Thanksgiving

 After nine years of marriage we finally hosted a Thanksgiving dinner. Melanie's parents and my parents made their respective nine hour drives from Maryland and Mississippi.
 Melanie did an awesome job preparing most of the food and getting the house ready for visitors. I did a great job as food taster-in an unofficial capacity of course. I did break out some old recipes and made a green bean casserole as well as an apple pie. Not a bad day of baking for a crusty old guy. I may have to explore my culinary skills in the near future.
We didn't have a lot of people in the house for a holiday, but it was a special week to be able to spend it with our parents and one we will never forget.
