The Bottomless Pit

Connor staying (inter)active
 “Daddy I’m hungry!”

These days it’s not so much as Connor’s request as it is a battle cry.

Usually it comes when we head out on the road, no matter the distance, requiring we keep the car packed with snacks – both healthy and some not so much.

At home he keeps Dannon in business with his   (constant) love of Gogurts. Dare I say we’re raising   a cultured child. Find out what he will eat for lunch   or dinner and it’s time to prepare more than enough   for a family of four.

Or as I always like to reply when people asked what we did with our extra food when we were growing up, “What are leftovers?” He certainly has some big shoes to fill and he’s doing his best.

Trying to tire Harper out
Yesterday was a good day as we headed to the EdVenture   Museum in Columbia, South Carolina. We actually made it out   of the driveway and about 11 miles down the road before the first  request for “nourishment” arose. The trick is to pack at least   two of everything because whatever he decides on from the   plastic bag of wonder Harper will certainly clamor for as well.

So we drove an hour and a half to the spot and spent about an   hour there before the “Braveheart” roar arose, “Daddy I’m   hungry!”
