Diving into island life

After establishing ourselves on Okinawa, we decided to take the plunge and learn how to scuba dive. From Sept. 23-30, we learned the ins-and-outs of the wonderful world of scuba diving from Mr. Ed Dunn, a retired Marine who has been diving for close to 30 years. We finished five chapters of book work in two days, spent three days at a pool on Kadena Air Base and spent the weekend completing four dives off the west coast of Okinawa in the East China Sea. We saw a wonderful new world underwater,
achieving our maximum limit of 6o feet on our
first dive Sunday, and plan to make diving a regular part of our life here on the island.
